Lithium (Li) Metal

Lithium (Li) is a soft, silvery alkali metal. While it is the least reactive of the alkali metals, it reacts vigorously with water. Lithium has the lowest density of all metals; however, it has the highest specific heat of any solid element, making it useful in heat transfer applications.
Typical Applications

Lithium (Li) Metal is widely used in rechargeable batteries for mobile phones, laptops, digital cameras, and electric vehicles, etc. It also has some non-rechargeable battery applications. Lithium is used to make specialty alloys lighter and stronger. Lithium metal is used in metallurgy to remove impurities in refining other metals.

Sustainable Qualities

Lithium Metal is a valuable and sustainable material widely used in rechargeable batteries and other electronics. It is a lightweight metal with high energy density, making it an ideal choice for portable devices and electric vehicles. Lithium is also a relatively abundant element, and its mining and production processes are becoming more efficient and sustainable over time. Furthermore, as more batteries are recycled, the demand for new lithium mining may decrease, contributing to a more circular economy.
