Cobalt (Co) Metal

Cobalt (Co) Metal is a lustrous, silvery-blue metal that is magnetic and attractive. Cobalt is hard and resistant to corrosion

Purity from 99.5% – 99.9%
Typical Applications

Cobalt is used to make magnets. When alloyed with aluminum and nickel, it makes particularly powerful magnets. Most Cobalt produced is used to make superalloys that show high-temperature strength and are used in areas where these properties are needed, e.g., jet turbines and gas turbine generators. Cobalt compounds are used in batteries as catalysts, and as pigments or colorants. Due to its attractive appearance, hardness, and corrosion resistance, Cobalt metal is sometimes used in electroplating.
