Beryllium (Be) Metal
Purity 98.0% up to 99.9999% pure, along with Be alloys
Beryllium is used for mirrors and camera shutters in space, military, and medical applications. It is also used in semiconductor manufacturing. Beryllium has been extensively used in making windows for X-ray tubes. Beryllium alloys are used as structural materials for high-speed aircraft, missiles, spacecraft, and communication satellites, and alloys with copper or nickel are used in gyroscopes, accelerometers, and computer parts for inertial guidance instruments. Beryllium is used to moderate or reflect neutrons and is used in nuclear reactors. It also can be part of dental alloys and dental bridges.
