Nickel Aluminum Bronze

Nickel aluminum bronze alloys are copper-based metals that are alloyed with aluminum and additions of iron and nickel. Aluminum content in bronze results in higher strength and corrosion resistance. The addition of nickel enhances both of these properties. The iron acts as a grain refiner, increasing tensile strength without diminishing the alloy’s excellent ductility and toughness.

Aluminum 9.0% max, Iron 4.0% max, Manganese 1.5% max, Nickel 5% max, Lead 0.03% max, Copper Bal.
Typical Applications

Nickel aluminum bronze alloys are used for marine industries’ bushings, bearings, wear plates, and hydraulic valve components.
