Ferromanganese

Ferromanganese (FeMn) is an alloy of iron and manganese usually containing about 80% manganese. This ferroalloy is used in steel production. It imparts metallurgical properties such as increased strength, hardness, toughness, and hardenability.
Typical Chemical Analysis for Ferro Manganese Lump

Manganese = ~75 – 77.77%
Carbon = 6.98%
Silicon = 0.060%
Phosphorus = 0.059%
Sulfur = 0.006%
Iron = ~ 17 – 18%

Typical Chemical Analysis for Ferro Manganese Powder

Iron = 50.41%
Manganese = 49.59%

Typical Applications

Ferromanganese is used as a degasser, deoxidizer, and desulphurizer in steel production, removes nitrogen and other hazardous elements that are found during iron melting. Used in manufacturing steel and, to a lesser extent, other metal alloys. Powders are useful in the welding industry.

Packaging Options

Pails, drums, multi-ply paper bags, bulk bags, and fiberboard containers.
