FerroBoron

Ferroboron (FeB) is an iron-boron alloy containing 10-20% boron. This ferroalloy is the most economical boron additive for steel and several other ferrous metals. It is added to the steel to improve its properties and used in producing amorphous metals.
Typical Applications

Ferroboron has multiple applications, one of which is its use in steel production to improve properties such as hardenability, hot workability, and creep resistance. It is also used in the production of automotive sheet steels, working wire rods, and amorphous alloys. This ferroalloy also is used in steel cores for high-efficiency transformers, neodymium iron boron magnets, and in motors for hybrid vehicles or electrical generators in wind power systems.
