Crystalline Silicon (Si)

Crystalline silicon is the crystalline form of silicon, a semi-metal and semiconductor. It is a lustrous, grayish-black and can be polycrystalline or monocrystalline silicon.

Typical Applications

Crystalline silicon is the dominant semiconducting material used in photovoltaic technology for the production of solar cells. In electronics, crystalline silicon is typically the monocrystalline form of silicon and is used for producing microchips.
