Brass Metal (Cu-Zn)

A bright alloy consisting mainly of copper (over 50%) and zinc. This alloy is used across multiple industries. Each variation has differing properties, with lower zinc content variations being more ductile and higher zinc variations being harder and stronger. All varieties have excellent machinability, are ductile, corrosion-resistant, and have high electrical conductivity and a low friction nature.
Typical Applications

Brass is used in a wide range of mechanical applications (bearings, gears, and valves, ammunition casings, and tools) as well as technical and measuring instruments (compasses, barometers, chronometers, clocks, and watches). Brass properties make it useful in marine hardware. It is used in electronic components such as electrical panel board switches and relays alongside sockets and terminal blocks. Other applications include musical instruments, architectural fittings, and accessories.
