Vanadium(IV) Oxide (VO₂)

Vanadium(IV) oxide (VO₂), vanadium dioxide, is a dark blue solid that is amphoteric and has a phase transition very close to room temperature. Its electrical resistivity and opacity can also change several folds.
Typical Applications

Vanadium(IV) oxide VO₂ is used in chemical sensors, energy-conserving coatings, transparent conductors, and switching materials. It acts as a stationary optical shutter and optical modulator in cameras. It is used as an infrared modulator for missile guidance systems. Other applications are in electro-optical switches, micro-optical switches, passive smart radiators, and sun shields for spacecraft.

Packaging Options

Jars, pails, steel drums, fiber drums, bulk bags
