Typical Applications
Vanadium carbide is used as an additive to vanadium metal and alloys and added to tungsten carbide to improve the property of the cermets. As an alloy with iron, it produces high-speed, high-temperature cutting tools for cutting metals and other hard substances. Other uses are as a material for research in electronics, as anode materials for lithium-ion batteries, and in supercapacitors.
