Typical Applications
Strontium sulfate is used as a precursor to producing strontium metal or other strontium compounds. It is used in ceramics and pyrotechnics. Other uses are to add iridescence to glass and pottery glazes, and as a fining agent for crystal glass. It is also used in powder coating, liquid paints, and plastics.
