               Typical Applications

Niobium carbide is used in tool bits for cutting tools, as a refractory coating in nuclear reactors, and is used to produce arc-welding rods. It can also be added to corrosion-resistant steel. It is used to make hard-tipped tools and special steels and to coat graphite in nuclear reactors.
