Limestone (CaCO₃)

Limestone is a sedimentary rock composed primarily of calcite, a calcium carbonate mineral, CaCO₃. It is hydrophobic and is produced by crushing, grinding, precipitation, and classifying high purity, white, and calcite limestone. Purities available from 98% to 99.9%

Typical Applications

Limestone has a wide variety of uses including in plastics, rubber, coatings, inks, adhesives, and soil conditioners. It is used in building products as a plastic filler, ceramic flux, and asphalt filler. It is used in chemical processing, glass production, water treatments, pesticide granules, dusting agents, welding rod coatings, thermosets, thermoplastics, paints, coatings, adhesives, sealants, and rubbers. It also is utilized by the pharmaceutical, toothpaste, and food additive industries.
