Indium(III) Phosphide (InP)

Indium(III) Phosphide (InP) is a brittle metallic mass with a melting point of 1070ºC that is slightly soluble in mineral acids. It possesses superior electron velocity and a direct bandgap. InP is classified under a group of materials that belong to the III-V semiconductors.

Purity: 99.999%
Typical Applications

Indium(III) phosphide is used in high-power and high-frequency electronics. It is useful for optoelectronics devices like laser diodes and is found in photonic integrated circuits (PICs). It is also used as a substrate for epitaxial indium-gallium-arsenide-based optoelectronic devices.
