Hafnium Nitride (HfN) is formed as yellow-brown and brittle solid with a melting point of 3310ºC It is an advanced ceramic powder and is among the most stable. It has excellent mechanical, electrical, optical, thermal, and corrosion resistance characteristics. It creates an abrasion-resistant, chemically inert outer film for cutting tools, a high temperature-resistant protective film with high hardness, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
