Germanium Dioxide (GeO₂)

Germanium Dioxide (GeO₂), also referred to as Germanium(IV) oxide or Germanium Oxide, is the main commercial source of germanium. It is a highly insoluble but thermally stable germanium source with superior mechanical strength over other infrared clear glasses. These properties make it more suitable for rugged military applications.

Purity: 99.998%
Typical Applications

Mainly used to make metal germanium for spectral analysis and semiconductor materials as well as glass, optical, and ceramic applications. It is also used in algaculture to inhibit unwanted diatom growth in algal cultures.

Packaging Options

Jars, pails, drums, multi-ply paper bags, bulk bags, and fiberboard containers
