Gallium Nitride (GaN)

Gallium Nitride (GaN) is a very hard, mechanically stable wide-bandgap semiconductor material with high heat capacity and thermal conductivity. Gallium nitride emits visible light (particularly blue and green).

Purity: 99.9%
Typical Applications

Gallium Nitride is used in a variety of electronic devices, such as light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and field effect transistors (FETs). It is used in various wireless infrastructure applications, including optoelectronic, high-power, and high-frequency devices. Other applications include military electronics (active electronically scanned array radars). Semiconductor devices, including LEDs, laser diodes, lighting, displays, and data storage, use GaN as a blue and UV light emitter. Gallium Nitride is also biocompatible, giving it biomedical uses in electrodes and electronic components for living organisms.
