READE President is Honored with 2020 Leaders & Achievers Award

READE is proud to announce that our President, Emily Reade, was recently recognized by Providence Business News, PBN, for its 2020 Leaders & Achievers Award for her career achievements. Emily was chosen based on her long-standing commitment to the business community as well as a sustained demonstration of leading others,  community service and mentoring. After a successful banking career at Citibank in New York City, Emily joined the business and focused on operations with her management experience. She has helped READE expand into a premier international specialty chemicals distributors and retained a strong focus of mentoring young employees at READE to help them reach their potential within the company. 

The Leaders & Achievers Program is in its second year and Emily received the award along with 24 other leading figures in Rhode Island that span the following industries: banking, real estate, government, insurance and manufacturing.  The award ceremony was hosted on August 20th at Aldrich Mansion in Warwick, RI but celebrated virtually with all honorees sending in videos and photographs for an exciting virtual celebration. As part of the award program, Emily was asked to share words of wisdom to younger generations just entering the workforce.

“It’s all about the team. Show up, stay on the game, and don’t make it about yourself. When you win, the whole enterprise wins,”  Emily encouraged.
