Providence Business News Awards READE 2022 Manufacturing Award

EAST PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island – Reade International Corp., DBA Reade Advanced Materials, a global distributor of specialty chemical solids, has been named an honoree by Providence Business News in the 2022 Manufacturing Award Program for excellence in the family-business category. The award was presented to Reade’s Chairman and fourth generation, Charles Reade, Jr., by Wendy Mackie the Interim Board Chairperson of Polaris MEP at the Omni Hotel in Providence, Rhode Island. The event brought together thirteen total award honorees and their guests for PBN’s ninth annual manufacturing award ceremony. The theme of the evening was clear: excellent manufacturing, high quality products and customer service, and adaptive work environments in today’s complex supply chain and labor challenges.

The event included networking with some of the Ocean State’s top manufacturing leaders at a cocktail reception and exhibitor booths. Members of the READE team were present and the fifth-generation of the business, Amanda Reade Sturgeon and Elisabeth Reade Law, accompanied Charles to the stage to receive the award.

Since the introduction of the Manufacturing Award Program, PBN has hand selected manufacturers that encourage growth of manufacturing in Rhode Island and provide innovative solutions and products. This is the second time in the past two years that READE has been honored by PBN which emphasizes READE’s presence as key player in the manufacturing industry in Rhode Island due to its evolving business strategy, growing team and commitment to its core-values that endure in an ever-changing industry.
