- Burundum Grinding Media Synonyms:
burundum grinding media, burundum cylindrical grinding media, burundum grinding media pellets, Al2O3
- Burundum Grinding Media General Formula:
Al2O3
1) A high density, ultra-high fired ceramic material that is ideal medium for wet or dry milling.
2) High specific gravity and cylindrical shape give it greater weight per volume, more contacts per mill revolution, greater area of attrition, with each contact. Result: faster, finer grinding or dispersion, often cutting milling time in half.
1) Long wearing, non-contaminating industrial grinding
2) Tough, hard, non-porous surface is chip resistant, easily cleaned and unaffected by most acids or alkalis
3) Non-conductive, non-magnetic, with excellent resistance to mechanical and thermal shock
Al2O3 purity grades available are 87%, 96+%, 99+% and Food quality
1) 1/4" O.D. x 1 1/4" long (650 pieces per lbs.)
Application: for fine grinding
2) 1/2" O.D. x 1/2 " long (94 pieces per lbs.)
Application: For rapid dispersion of liquid based systems
3) 13/16" O.D. x 13/16" long (18 pieces per lbs.)
Application: For dry grinding & general lab use
4) 1-1/4" O.D. x 1-1/4" long (4 pieces per lbs.)
Application: For grinding & crushing large particle size
5) Rods, beads & spheres at 96% purity
